Sustainable Solution Description

IML Containers is committed to sustainability and social responsibility and continues to develop and introduce green, sustainable packaging processes and material choices that are socially responsible. We provide innovative solutions and alternatives in resin with bio-based, compostable, recyclable, and post-consumer recycled (PCR) material. Our wood packaging materials are sourced from sustainable managed forests and controlled, certified sources. Our wooden packaging from PEFCTM -certified sustainably managed poplar plantations is 100 percent biodegradable and industrially compostable according to EN14046 standards. The cardboard packaging material we use is also developed with conservation in mind. To meet technical and conservation requirements, we use several different qualities of cardboard such as virgin or recycled fibers with or without plastic coating or with greaseproof treatment. These types of cardboard are recyclable and contribute to the circular economy. Our French and Polish printing plants as well as some production plants are FSC®-certified and are therefore allowed to use FSC®-certified cardboard. We have multiple production sites located close to our customers to reduce transportation distances and lower carbon footprint.
