HC’s sustainable solutions are rooted in our long-standing history of servicing the horticultural industry.  With a desire to be more environmentally friendly while further differentiating our product portfolio in this highly competitive segment, HC’s molded pulp growing containers helped pave the way for our eventual entrance into the sustainable packaging market.

For over 30 years, our 46,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Burlington, Ontario, has been the exclusive producer of our sustainable solutions. We believe in a legacy of value for our business and our industry by keeping things accessible to anyone in the market, whether they have already committed to corporate social responsibility or need help getting started.

It is exciting to recalibrate and adapt existing products into more sustainable solutions while taking incremental steps to do better today than we did yesterday. We are constantly challenging ourselves to make each transition seamless.

Our facilities in Middlefield, Ohio, Sebring, Florida, and Sparks, Nevada produce growing containers made with post-industrial and post-consumer recycled or reprocessed resins*. Additionally, our Burlington, Canada facility, which produces our full line of fiber containers, utilizes 100% recycled newsprint, corrugate from our facilities, and raw newsprint in the production process and is proudly recognized as FSC® 100% Recycled. *The amount and stream of recycled and reprocessed resin may vary by product.
